One of Karens many goals is to teach people about their bodies - how it works and how it heals, empowering people to take control of their own health. After 28 years of experience and trainings, Karen has developed a unique method which draws from all that she learned to bring balance and awareness to the body. Her sessions are body directed ( the body tells her what is needed). Intuition plays a big part in this process. Many times people come to Karen when they are told there is nothing else that can be done for them and they “have to live with it”. Her personal healing journey has given her insight into wellness on all levels…body, mind and spirit. Connecting and sharing our journeys with each other is why we are here. We are all in this together!

As a former advertising executive and mother of two, Kendra fully understands the importance of finding time to balance the mind, body and spirit. Mindful movement that couples yoga and more traditional training methods, allows Kendra to renew and strengthen her body and mind so that she can approach life with energy and passion.
A former “gym rat,” she discovered the benefits of a regular yoga practice in 1999 and has practiced in various styles and settings throughout her years of being a student. In 2009 Kendra took her practice to the next level by entering YogaSpirit Studios’ teacher training program. This comprehensive 14 month certification process, included an in depth study of the anatomy of poses, various alternatives and modifications for different body types and a deep appreciation for the healing aspects of yoga. In addition to obtaining addition yoga certifications, Kendra became a Barre instructor through TotalBarre in 2014, and a certified personal trainer in 2015, through The American College of Sports Medicine, as a way to answer her clients’ call for more traditional movement plans to couple with their existing private yoga practices. In 2016, she added Reiki healing to her services to improve the relaxation experience of each session. As a way to round out a full wellness offering, Kendra added fitness nutrition consulting to her practice to help clients understand the benefits of proper nutrition to fuel their individual workouts, and reach their wellness goals more efficiently. Kendra hopes to bring each of her students the strength and peace she has found in a mindful movement, meditation and relaxation practice.
